For example, the number of women who acquire different kinds of cancer has increased significantly over the past years. Also, the women of today are more prone to stress due to the high multi-tasking expectations from them. As we can see, many women these days have careers outside the home but still have the responsibility at home. All these factors affect women's health and it has become essential that every woman know the different kinds of physical exams that must be regularly taken to care for their health.

The present factors which affect women's health include diet, exercise, external as well as environmental factors, must also include regular health exams. Such health exams are necessary for them to get educated about their physical conditions as well as to detect any signs of illness. Here are some of the types of health exams that women can have in order to increase their chance of top health conditions:

1.  Breast Exams

The occurrence of breast cancer has increased much in the last ten years. Women who are on top of their health surprisingly see themselves battling with cancer. In most cases, not detecting the disease early on could heighten the risks involved. Having regular breast exams can significantly help in detecting possible cancerous cells in the breasts.

Monthly Self-Exam – Women should have monthly breast self-exams. This is useful to detect suspicious lumps on the breasts. Breast self-exams can e done in a matter of minutes and involve very simple process of examination.

Mammogram – This exam can be administered in clinics and hospitals. Women who are aged 35 years and above plus those who have higher cancer risks should subject themselves to yearly mammograms.

2. Heart Disease and Routine Examinations

Heart disease continues to be one of the leading causes of death among both men and women. With the increasing stress factors which affect women as well as the complacency in diets and lifestyles, women are now very prone to heart diseases. The risk of heart disease can be higher in some women due to hereditary factors and family histories yet you can lower the risk by maintaining a healthy lifestyle which includes balanced diets, exercise and prevention of smoking and alcohol. Yearly heart checkups as well as general health checkups are needed to monitor a woman's stand on the heart disease chart.

3. Pap Smears and Cervical Check Ups

Another type of cancer that hits the female gender is cervical cancer. The risk of deaths related to cervical cancer has also increase over the last years. It is important for any adult woman to undergo regular pap smear at a clinic or hospital so the risks of cervical cancer and other diseases can be detected early on.

Having regular checkups which are both intended for men and women are increasingly important. It is always best to detect possible diseases early. Ask nearby clinics or local hospitals about all tests and schedule them soon.
